Mathieu Staes
Mathieu has been with HR One for several years, building extensive experience across the recruitment process. Beyond day-to-day search execution, he contributes to recruitment strategy and advises clients at a strategic level, with a pragmatic approach and a keen interest in how technology and AI can optimise the way teams work. This breadth of experience has given him a thorough, end-to-end understanding of the recruitment and client life cycle.
Mathieu holds a Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from KU Leuven, giving him a natural affinity with the life sciences and healthcare sectors and allowing him to engage credibly with clients and candidates on scientific topics. His prior experience as a family counselor further grounds his understanding of human behaviour and motivation.
Outside of work, Mathieu enjoys running, cycling, following developments in technology, and spending time with friends. He is based in Leuven.
