System Foam Specialist

Our client is a leading European developer and manufacturer of high-quality and environmentally responsible chemicals for the fire safety industry, both passive (fire-resistant) and active (fire-extinguishing).

Purpose of the role

• You provide strategic technical guidance and hands-on expertise in the development, testing and formulation of fire-fighting system foams.
• You lead complex projects focused on compliance with international standards (EN 1568, UL 162, LASTFIRE and others).
• You ensure cutting-edge product development and market advancement in fire protection solutions.

Your responsibilities

• You lead and manage high-impact R&D initiatives for fire-fighting foam systems, focusing on formulation and performance optimisation.
• You design, execute and interpret fire-fighting system foam tests according to EN 1568, UL 162, LASTFIRE and other relevant standards.
• You provide expert recommendations to senior management on system foam selection, formulation and compliance strategies.
• You stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes in fire-fighting system foams, and integrate these insights into innovation efforts.
• You collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, optimisation and growth in system foam technology.
• You foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the organisation.

Your profile

• You have at least 15 years of experience in fire-fighting system foam research, development and testing.
• You have advanced knowledge of foam formulation chemistry, fire-fighting system design and international testing standards (EN 1568, UL 162, LASTFIRE, etc.).
• You have a proven ability to lead and deliver impactful projects in the fire protection industry.
• You have a deep understanding of system foam formulation and performance testing.
• You can synthesise complex technical data and market insights into strategic direction.
• You develop innovative solutions to technical challenges in foam systems.
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and excel at presenting technical findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
