JOB DESCRIPTION
As the ICT Director, you lead the ICT team and report directly to the Chief Technology Officer. You ensure that the company's network, hardware, and software support the business goals, both for the entire group and its subsidiaries. You are responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving internal applications that enhance business processes. You also oversee training and provide support to colleagues on the hardware and software managed by the ICT department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- ICT Operations Management:
- Provide support for ICT-related issues.
- Manage and inventory ICT equipment (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, scanners, printers).
- Deliver technical training to end users for hardware/ software managed by ICT.
- Handle installation, configuration, and rollout of hardware and software.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain applications, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated with technological trends and innovations that could benefit the organization.
- Develop technology that enhances communication and coordination between different parties.
- Manage and maintain the data warehouse.
- Budget Management:
- Prepare, manage, and optimize the ICT budget.
- Monitor costs and expenses of ICT projects and initiatives.
- Evaluate and approve investments in new technologies and infrastructure.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and coach the ICT team to drive high performance and professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure ICT solutions meet organizational needs.
- Risk & Security Management:
- Develop and implement policies to ensure data and system security.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ICT laws and regulations.
- Manage ICT-related risks and incidents, ensuring swift and effective responses.
PROFILE
- Master’s degree in ICT or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows system administration.
- Programming and debugging expertise.
- Experience with code repositories (e.g., Git).
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with Linux distributions (e.g., Debian) and CLI.
- Knowledge of VMWare ecosystems and TCP/IP networking.
- ITIL / PMP certifications (preferred).
- Experience with UX design and cloud computing platforms.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
- Soft skills: leadership, communication, problem-solving, adaptability, collaboration and empathy
