iMEP Director

Job description


Under the direct supervision of Japan and in close collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer, the function holder has full-range responsibility for all iMEP’s activities (strategic – tactical and operational), aiming that iMEP Europe gets the recognition of being a renowned training, R&D and knowledge center.


  1. Strategy
  • Creating, managing, coordinating and executing the dual strategy, while implementing tactical plans that meet and exceed company expectations
  • Creating awareness of iMEP’s capabilities in the market:
  • Developing unique value propositions, business partnerships, that will accelerate awareness of iMEP’s capabilities in the market.
  • Creating an iMEP community in the EMEA region, seeking strategic partnerships, reaching out to

▪ Professors – Doctors – Nurses

▪ Speakers – Trainers – Trainees

▪ KOL’s – Authorities – Associations

▪ Hospitals – Clinics – Educational Institutions

  • Setting up cooperation agreement with universities / institutions
  • Building and strengthening reputation of the organization being an innovator through iMEP
  1. Financial & People Management
  • Coaching, leading and managing the iMEP team (Training Specialist – Clinical Application Specialists – Operational Assistant) and other people in case of interdisciplinary projects in the execution of the strategic plans and events.
  • Ensuring all activities are completed, meeting the deadlines whilst respecting the budget.
  • Create business plans to further extend the iMEP capabilities.
  • Create yearly budget and forecasts for iMEP as a separate business unit, liaising with Japan and in close collaboration with the CMO.
  • Equipped with sound financial acumen, he/she should be able to assess the potential profitability of (a) project(s)
  1. Extending training programs
  • Gaining understanding of the training needs of the people from the iMEP community (see strategy)
  • Setting up training programs, in accordance with the aforementioned needs.
  • Working closely together with the Simulation Training Specialist and colleagues in Japan to set up these trainings.
  • Organizing own-built trainings and “selling” this to trainees through different channels and tools.
  1. Seeking recognition for iMEP as an accredited training facility
  • Setting up right portfolio of trainings, and convincing authorities across many countries to grant the organization / iMEP the status accredited training facility.
  • Acting as spokesperson for iMEP towards associations / healthcare professionals

The role holder will perform all tasks in accordance with JSOX and ISO quality requirements and taking values into account and demonstrate flexibility and mobility in order to optimize contact with the different business units and entities


  • Medical background
  • 4 – 5 years of clinical work experience
  • A strong commercial flair, enjoying a solid business acumen, with an interest in training, development, R&D
  • Preferably worked as an educator in a medical school or university
  • Preferably has experience in managing/operation a facility comparable to iMEP
  • Experience in people management
  • Organization skills – Structured and organized approach
  • Adaptability – Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in order to deliver results
  • Team work – Fostering an environment of teamwork to ensure that all objectives are met
  • Networking – Creating a community and strategic partnerships in the EMEA region
